Monday – August 6 - The Caravan is Formed

We are pleased to announce that all nine (9) Monaco motor coaches successfully arrived in Joliet, IL by mid-day Monday.   The primary purpose of this caravan is to visit several design and manufacturing facilities of Navistar Inc., the parent company of Monaco RV.  In addition to visiting the Navistar sites, we will explore the local attractions around these facilities.

Because Navistar is an international company, the caravan will celebrate some its group suppers with menus featuring foods from various countries where Navistar has business representation.  This evening, the group of Bill, JeanAnn, Dick, Nancy, Don, and Norma provided dinner with a South African flair.

We were fortunate to celebrate happy hour and this delicious steak dinner in the campground’s air-conditioned clubhouse.  So, even through the outside temperature was in the high 80’s, the cool air made our introductory gathering a comfortable experience.  This was an opportunity to catch up with previous acquaintances and meet new fellow travelers.
